Every gold coin has an electromagnetic signature set by its metal and shape. Our tests are designed to catch counterfeits that pass the weight and size checks; fake detection is modelled, not yet measured.
Four tests: weight, dimensions, ring (ping) and eddy current, each measuring a different physical property. The guided scan covers the first three, and gives a 0–100 consistency score: how closely your measurements match the published specifications. It is not a probability that the coin is genuine.
